Just outside of the Darjeeling province – high in the mountains of Nepal – tea growers practice their ancient art. Himalayan tea is generally considered some of the finest in the world. The high altitude creates a delicate leaf that also can be very complex and bold. It has to be a hearty, adaptable plant that survives the harsh conditions of the Himalayan mountain range – and that unique characteristic comes through when brewed. Brewing to a light color with some acidity, the flavor is soft but very clean.
