With the name meaning "precious eyebrows”, Chun Mee is a popular green tea. It has a dusty appearance and is generally more acidic and less sweet than other green teas. It was originally from Jiangxi, but now it is grown elsewhere in China. While common varieties are fairly uninteresting, the higher grades have a wonderful, distinctive plum-like flavor. This Chun Mee has a delicate plum-like flavor with a smooth, sweet aroma.
Because the leaf has little oxidation, green tea reportedly contains the highest concentration of powerful antioxidants called polyphenols. These antioxidants in green tea have been shown to neutralize free radicals and may reduce or even help prevent some of the damage they cause.
